Exploring Maternal Health

OMUS + OPNRM Video Collaboration Project

The purpose of this collaborative project between OMUS and Open Room (OPNRM) was to explore maternal health in Maricopa County. We wanted to hear the stories, perspectives, and feelings of Black and Brown mothers on pregnancy, childbirth, and maternal health. We’ve condensed the interviews into shorter clips below, each asked a separate question. Here are their answers.

another perspective

a discussion on fatherhood

Part two of the OMUS and Open Room (OPNRM) video collab project, the male perspective. In this video, four fathers discuss their experiences during the perinatal period. Each at a different stage in fatherhood, they reflect on the successes and challenges of navigating parenthood, relationships, and family.
